<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Despite the leaked features and specs of the iPhone 7 beforehand, the launch maintained a sense of curiosity worldwide.

Like previous years, Tech giant Apple launched two iPhones this year as well; iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The general public seemed to be under impression that like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the new gadgets had minor differences and were just a “number change.”

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Here is the comparison between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Size:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">iPhone 7 Plus is 19.9mm taller, 10.8mm wider and .2mm thicker than the iPhone 7. It’s also a full 1.76 ounces heavier.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Display:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">It not only has a larger display, but also more pixels for sharper text and crisper images. With its full 1080p resolution, the iPhone 7 Plus packs 401 pixels per inch, while iPhone 7 has a 1,334-by-750-pixel resolution with just 326 pixels per inch.

However, the Retina HD displays on both of Apple’s latest smartphones have been improved.

One advantage the iPhone 7 has is a slightly higher contrast ratio of 1400:1 versus the iPhone 7 Plus’ 1300:1.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Battery Life:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">You’ll get up to 14 hours of talk time out of the iPhone 7 over 3G, while the 7 Plus delivers 21 hours. The latter also provides up to an hour of extra use when browsing the web on 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi, and when playing video.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Camera:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">One of the biggest differences between the iPhones is their cameras. While the only thing to be gained by choosing a Plus-size iPhone in previous years was optical image stabilization, 7 Plus buyers get treated to a second camera module.

Alongside the wide-angle 12-megapixel iSight camera also found in the iPhone 7, which is greatly improved over the iSight camera in iPhone 6s, the 7 Plus boasts a second telephoto lens. This allows for 2x optical zoom and improved digital zoom, plus incredible depth-of-field effects.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Prices:

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Prices start at $649 for an iPhone 7 with 32GB of storage when you buy off-contract, and they increase to $749 for a 128GB model and $849 for a 256GB model. iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769 for a 32GB device, while the bigger storage options cost $869 and $969 respectively.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">NEW YORK (Web Desk) – Apple on Wednesday unveiled two upgraded versions of its iPhone and a new waterproof smartwatch but this waterproof feature has confused many.

To mitigate the confusion, it is to be noted that water proof and water resistant are two different features and you can’t take the new smartphones for a swim or capture underwater moments.

If you study the details of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus available on Apple’s website, you will discover that the new iPhones have IP67 standard splash, water, and dust resistance feature. IP67 under IEC standard means the devices are dust tight and can work under water up to one meter for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Although IP67 water resistance should serve to protect your iPhone in case of accidental drops in sinks and toilets or even make it usable in rain but Apple clarified the extent to which it can be drenched in water., “Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear.”

“Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear.” Apple said in a statement.

“Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty,” Apple terms and conditions state ruling out the possibility of warranty claim for any damages incurred due to water.
